Job Description
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a Crossing Guard to direct and guide children and pedestrians across traffic intersections. The Crossing Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of school children and other pedestrians, reporting traffic violations, and responding to requests for geographic directions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years of age at the time of application
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to quickly bend, stretch, twist or reach out with one’s body, arms and/or legs
