Junior Camp Counsellor, Camp Wimodausis (2 vacancies)

Child Development Institute is seeking 2 energetic Junior Camp Counsellor (JC) to join our day camp which operates out of our St. Clair Gardens site for a 6 week summer contract.

Requirements

• Must be trained on SNAP strategies and experience in behaviour management.
• Must be a SNAP graduate
• Standard First Aid and CPR;
• Must have a current and valid police record check with broad sector screening
• Strong leadership, coaching, planning, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skill sets
• Direct experience in a therapeutic or therapeutic recreational setting is an asset;
• Excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing;
• Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position;
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a respectful and aware manner with groups from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Must be patient and compassionate
