Job Description
Child Development Institute is seeking a Senior Camp Counsellor to work at their day camp for a 6 week summer contract. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of CDI programs and services are consistent with the mission, values, and policies of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelorās level degree in Social Work or Child and Youth Counsellor(CYC) diploma or degree
- Minimum of 3 yearsā experience working with children/youth with social, emotional, behavioural challenges
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Current and valid police record check with broad sector screening
- Strong leadership, coaching, planning, problem-solving, communication, computer, and financial skills
- Direct experience supporting clients in a therapeutic or therapeutic recreational setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
