Job Description
As a Medical Social Worker at Children's Behavioral Health & Wellness Center in Omaha, NE, you will provide professional social work services to patients and families, enhance their psychosocial functioning, and develop positive relationships with patients, physicians, and nursing staff. This role involves assessing patient needs, providing education, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a team-based approach and effective continuum of care. Under provisional supervision, you will conduct psychosocial assessments, provide crisis/supportive counseling, and assist with child abuse/neglect cases. You will also provide on-call services, cover for colleagues, and consult on legal issues such as guardianship and adoption cases.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of supervised experience as a Social Worker in a clinical setting
- Medical Social Work experience
- Current Provisional Master Social Worker in the state of Nebraska
- Current provisional Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record/driving record
