Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to serve as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer for the Wastewater Capital Program (WWCP) in Queens, NY. The selected candidate will assist the project team in achieving project goals and milestones, ensuring environmental health and safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or mechatronics
- 1 year of full-time satisfactory experience in mechanical engineering work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible in assignment of work responsibilities
- Critical thinking skills and effective independent data analysis
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines applicable to wastewater treatment facilities
