Job Description
The Special Officer will perform work relating to physical security, safety, loss prevention, and maintenance of order. Responsibilities include responding to emergency incidents, maintaining heightened security levels, and completing reports. Special Officers may work various shifts and be required to work overtime.
Requirements
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
- Must be qualified to serve as a Peace Officer and satisfy the training requirements established by the State of New York for Peace Officers
- Must obtain and maintain certification as a Peace Officer
