Job Description
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is seeking a Carpenter Supervisor to join the Enhanced Oversight Program Plus (EOP Plus) addressing mold and leak repair backlogs in public housing developments across the city.
Requirements
- 7 years of recent, satisfactory, full time, paid experience as a carpenter, at least 2 years of which must have been spent in duties of a supervisory nature
- Satisfactory equivalent experience
- Ability to supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and other assigned personnel
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to guide carpentry tasks
- Ability to enforce safety protocols and promote a safe work environment
- Ability to communicate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate activities
