Job Description
The Customer Service Representative reports to the Store Manager and provides customers with the best buying experience possible.
Requirements
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and provide prompt courteous service
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Be knowledgeable about merchandise, sale items, and store promotions
- Work to achieve maximum productivity daily
- Assist other employees with questions and proper procedure
- Train new Customer Service Representatives on store procedures
- Complete specific tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
- Protect company inventory and assets
- Perform loss prevention activities
- Price, stock, and rotate products
- Refuse to sell alcoholic beverages to customers during restricted hours or to those who are intoxicated or under age
- Refuse to sell cigarettes to customers who are under age
- Perform inventory counts as assigned by Manager
- Follow company procedures when working with vendors
- Complete the daily paperwork as assigned by Manager
- Maintain store cleanliness standards
- Assist in ensuring all appropriate store signage is posted and changed as necessary
- Assist in ensuring all store equipment is functioning properly and receiving proper preventative maintenance checks
- Adhere to all company policies outlined in the policy manual
- Follow proper safety techniques and guidelines
- Communicate career opportunities and recruit potential store personnel
