Environmental Engineer

The primary responsibility of this position will be to ensure day-to-day facility compliance for the taconite processing plant and the active surface mine site. This includes performing field and office work, communicating with employees, management, and outside agencies, and developing and presenting training materials and environmental standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related field
• Able to lead or assist in various environmental permitting efforts and associated project permitting analyses
• Able to regularly correspond professionally with regulatory agencies, attorneys, corporate and site management, hourly employees and contractors
• Ability to manage and interpret data
• Strong teamwork and individual problem-solving skills
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner while maintaining communication with the Environmental team
