Job Description
The Environmental Specialist position at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. involves ensuring day-to-day facility compliance for a taconite processing plant and active surface mine site. Responsibilities include performing field and office work, communicating with employees and outside agencies, and managing permitting and data management to support environmental compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related field
- Ability to lead or assist in environmental permitting efforts and project permitting analyses
- Corresponding professionally with regulatory agencies, attorneys, and corporate management
- Understanding of federal and Minnesota environmental regulations
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and data management
