Addiction and Mental Health Worker, Peer Support - Hubs

Addiction and Mental Health Worker, Peer Support - Hubs position at Canadian Mental Health Association Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services, providing support to individuals with mental health and addiction needs through a recovery-oriented practice and evidence-based peer support model.

Requirements

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Lived experience of mental illness, and/or addictions, and/or homelessness
• Current, clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
• Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
• Preferred: completed peer support training, education, or certification
• First/Aid/CPR
• Knowledge of treatment and wellness, health systems and community resource
• Prior volunteer or work experience as a Peer Supporter
• Ability to recognize and diffuse potential conflict situations
• Bilingual both official languages
