Job Description
Hearing Representative provides legal services to the Workers' Compensation claims department and CNA insureds in the defense of Workers' Compensation cases. They defend the insured employer by participating in hearings, mandatory settlement conferences, depositions and trials. They also investigate and negotiate lien claims and defend our insured employers at lien trials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
- Typically a minimum of four years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software
- Comprehensive knowledge of the rules and regulations and laws pertaining to handling Workers' Compensation cases at the WCAB
- Strong technical expertise, sophistication, and independent judgment to manage internal and external business relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and issues
- Creativity in solving unique and challenging problems
