Job Description
Hiring a seasoned Hearing Representative for Workers Compensation Defense to manage a caseload of lien files, represent clients in proceedings before the California Workers Compensation Appeals Board, and advocate on behalf of employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
Requirements
- Manage a full caseload of lien files from initial evaluation through final resolution
- Analyze medical documentation and rate permanent disability using the AMA Guides
- Review and assess medical records to determine apportionment of disability across contributing causes
- Represent clients before WCAB judges at Mandatory Settlement Conferences (MSC), Status Conferences, and walk-through settlements
- Advocate on behalf of employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators during medical lien hearings
- Conduct negotiations with lien claimants to resolve disputes where appropriate
- Prepare legal documentation including settlement agreements, declarations, and written position statements
- Maintain consistent communication with clients by providing case updates, summaries, and strategic recommendations
- Manage high-volume caseloads within a fully digital case management environment
Benefits
- Base Salary: $55,000 – $120,000 depending on experience
