Job Description
Coastal Villages Longline, a subsidiary of Coastal Villages Region Fund, is seeking Deckhands to work on their freezer longliner. The role involves on-board fish handling, maintaining equipment, and assisting the Bosun, as well as performing a variety of tasks related to fishing operations and deck safety. Applicants should hold a current Crane Operator Certificate and a USCG AB license.
Requirements
- Current Crane Operators Certificate
- USCG AB license (strongly desired)
- Minimum of two years experience as a Deckhand aboard a commercial fishing vessel
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions & decimals)
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to perform basic functions in stressful environments
- Physical ability to lift, stand, work at heights, and perform repetitive movements.
