CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist performs typical machine shop operations, sets up and operates machining center(s) per work instructions, and analyzes written specifications, drawings, and rough sketches to plan layout and determine sequence of operations.

Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years' experience as CNC Operator or equivalent technical machining certification/degree
• Previous experience setting up and operating a CNC machine in a production environment
• Experience with precision measurement methods and systems
• Experience with computers (data entry, email)
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide (i.e., proven elementary math skills)
• Demonstrated ability to use a standard computer keyboard
• Demonstrated ability to use handheld measuring tools
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend engineering blueprints and/or customer product drawings
