Job Description
The CNC Machinist performs typical machine shop operations, including setting up and operating machining centers, analyzing specifications and drawings, and performing inspections. They must have a minimum of four years' experience as a CNC Operator or equivalent technical machining certification/degree, and experience with precision measurement methods and systems.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years' experience as CNC Operator or equivalent technical machining certification/degree
- Previous experience setting up and operating a CNC machine in a production environment
- Experience with precision measurement methods and systems
- Experience with computers (data entry, email)
- Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide (i.e., proven elementary math skills)
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language (i.e., proven elementary reading and writing skills)
- Demonstrated ability to converse and comprehend using the English language
- Demonstrated ability to use a standard computer keyboard
- Demonstrated ability to use handheld measuring tools including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometer, tape measures, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend engineering blueprints and/or customer product drawings
