CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC mills, interpret blueprints, and perform quality checks. Must have 7+ years of CNC machining experience and a high school diploma or GED.
Requirements
- Set up and operate CNC mills, or multi-axis machines
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Load and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAM software
- Select tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for optimal machining performance
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes
- Monitor production runs and adjust machine offsets as needed
- Train and mentor junior machinists and machine operators
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process improvements
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain clean, safe work areas
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Document setups, inspections, and production data accurately
