The Facilities Unit Director will interact with customers, devise strategies to ensure the organization meets its goals, and oversee the daily operational activities of the facilities team. This role requires problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage the team and facilities.
Requirements
- Develop and manage a preventative and corrective maintenance management program utilizing an up-to-date CMMS system
- Inspect facility and generate reports as required
- Assist in planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources
- Prepare documents for maintenance and vendor selections
- Ensure that all in-house and contracted personnel are appropriately trained for the work they are performing
- Develop and Maintain an accurate library of building and system drawings
- Assist in coordination of projects with property management teams
- Assist in development of policies and procedures
- Coordinate and lead team members
- Assist in development and upkeep of safety systems & programs
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues
- Perform facility safety and general condition walk thru
- Ensure Shipping/Receiving and mail is delivered in a timely manner
- Oversight of confidential document shredding program
- Ensure landscaping and grounds are maintained as designed
