Job Description
Complex is a growing platform for global youth culture, music, and lifestyle. They are seeking a New York-based Associate Counsel specializing in intellectual property and entertainment law to draft and negotiate complex commercial deals for brands and artists. The role involves managing merchandise licensing, IP rights, retail agreements, experiential activations, and partnerships. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Requirements
- Drafting and negotiating high-impact deals (merchandise, IP, partnerships, events) across media and entertainment.
- Advising on trademark, copyright, and brand protection strategies.
- Maintaining knowledge of complex commercial agreements, including advertising sales.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with entertainment and digital media transactions.
