
Job description
As a Commodity Manager, you will develop and lead sourcing strategies for Americas Plastic, Rubber, Gasket, and Resin direct commodities in a global environment. Strategies developed will support supply chain initiatives which include cost containment, regionalization, trade working capital improvement, timely delivery, and quality.
Develop and implement a direct material sourcing strategy to improve flexibility and supply assurance. Forecast containment and inflation projects for current and future years. Establish goals to improve trade working capital with increased payment terms, lower inventory, and shorter lead times.
A strategic-orientated individual that achieves timely results. Ability to review processes and provide feedback on how to improve the processes. Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and charts. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (primarily in North America).
