Assistant Public Defender I - III
Juris Doctor Degree and admission to the PA Bar are required. Knowledge of Pennsylvania Criminal Law is preferred. Basic PC knowledge is also necessary
Treatment Caseworker (Berks County Jail System)
Bachelor's degree in related field. 1 year of agency experience. Knowledge of counseling theories and multicultural issues
Activities Aide - (Berks Heim Nursing & Rehabilitation)
Degree in recreation/art & 1 yr experience. Some medical knowledge & English proficiency required. Computer skills & basic office experience
Nursing Supervisor (Part-Time, 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift)
2+ yrs nursing experience. RN license & school graduate required. Leadership skills & commitment to resident care are essential
Certified Nursing Assistant (Berks Heim Nursing & Rehabilitation)
Nursing assistant training & registration. Must be at least 18, with a good criminal record. Ability to lift 10lbs
Correctional Officer - Jail System
High school diploma/GED, 21+ or 18-20 (with experience). PA driver’s license, valid PA license. No felony/misdemeanor record
Facility Custodian (Part-Time)
High school diploma/GED preferred. Background in custodial work required. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
Legal Intern (Public Defender's Department)
Law School student/entry for a general Knowledge of PA Law. Proficiency in PC software, good communication and decision-making skills
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN Staff FT/PT)
Graduate from accredited nursing program & PA license. Must have leadership skills & willingness to cooperate with staff
