Court Reporter II position responsible for verbatim recordation of court proceedings and preparation of accurate transcriptions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- NCRA-accredited court reporting education or associate degree in Specialized Business (Court Reporting).
- Four years of experience in general court reporting or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- NCRA RPR designation or successful completion of in-house examination.
- Thorough knowledge of English usage, punctuation, spelling, and technical terminology.
- Skill in taking and transcribing verbatim testimony for sustained periods of time at rapid and changing speeds and inflections.
- Ability to work independently, handle stress, and effectively deal with judges, attorneys, and parties involved in litigation.
