Job Description
Vertis Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented Speech Language Pathologist for their Assisted Living Facility in Anderson, IN. The role involves using therapeutic procedures to address speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and cognition deficits, while maintaining patient safety and improving their quality of life. The therapist will participate as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology
- Current license/certification in the state of practice
- Minimum one (1) year experience in geriatric rehabilitation
- Meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of accumulating supervised experience, or meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Adequate computer skills
- Demonstrated competency in applying speech therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment
