We are looking for a Kitchen Steward to assist with meal preparation, kitchen maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and families. The Kitchen Steward will work with the Director and Chef to provide high-quality care and services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required and/or a one (1) year food service related experience equivalent preferred
- Experience with cutlery and commercial kitchen equipment
- Completion of Metro health department food handlers safety and sanitation course is required
- Ability to problem-solve, analyze, and interpret information
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be open and culturally sensitive to a wide variety of patients' care issues
- Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively speak, read and write in English
- Ability to interact with co-workers in a collaborative and courteous manner while providing guidance, instruction, and training
