The Public Sector Sales Director for Datadog leads the Account Executive team responsible for driving full-cycle new business for Central Government accounts, defining sales strategy, mentoring, and executing on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Manage, hire, educate, and launch Central Government Sales Team
- Drive new business and upsell existing customers
- Achieve monthly and quarterly goals, and drive team annual contract goals
- Manage Account Executive performance based on metrics such as deal size, win rate, and forecast accuracy
- Build trusted relationships with executive-level decision makers, and coach Account Executives on complex large deals and high-stakes negotiations
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for the region
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to build messaging, collateral, and customer journey maps tailored to specific business needs
- Conduct weekly forecast meetings
- Participate in meetings with prospective and existing customers, lead pitches, and support direct reports as needed
