Level 1 Technician

Role Overview

Perform installation of DataOne's Layer 1 infrastructure solutions as a Level 1 Technician. Work on a crew on projects where other technicians are functioning as the lead.

What You Will Do

Assist with installation, adjustments, and changes to network connections for technical systems. Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling for data centers in a service provider environment.

Requirements

• 1+ year of work experience in structured cabling
• High school diploma
• Able to speak and write clearly in English
• Valid driver's license
• Basic competence in the utilization of hand tools
• Familiarity with cable/construction industry standards
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work in elevated areas on ladders, in confined spaces, and tight areas for long periods
• Interest and willingness to learn
• Must be able to learn installation techniques quickly
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Benefits

• Pay range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
