Mechanical Engineer, D&F

DCS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Operations Engineering team. The role focuses on delivering engineering activities from contract to commissioning, collaborating with clients and suppliers, and maintaining detailed drawings for material handling systems. The ideal candidate will be methodical, detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of drafting and design standards.

Requirements

• Review and apply customer specifications to design.
• Review architectural and other drawings against conveyance design.
• Participate in firm engineering meetings with customers and suppliers.
• Produce detailed mechanical installation drawings.
• Create point load drawings when required.
• Verify calculations, such as horsepower and throughput.
• Work with vendors to review equipment drawings.
• Provide technical guidance during detailed design.
• Create and maintain CAD files.
• Review and create as-built drawings.
• Travel to job sites to verify field conditions.
