ACTIVITY/RECREATIONAL THERAPIST

Destiny Springs Healthcare is seeking a PRN Recreation Therapist to join their interdisciplinary treatment team. The Recreation Therapist will design and lead therapeutic activities to promote emotional growth, coping skills, and independent functioning in adolescents and adults receiving behavioral health services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Recreational Therapy/ Music/ Art /Occupational/ Dance /Movement Therapies or related field
• Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance
• Master's degree preferred
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred
• CPR certification and CPI required prior to patient interaction
• Minimum of (1) year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness
