Job Description
As an Electrical Controls Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for a variety of projects, working closely with engineers and technicians to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
Requirements
- Prepare construction documents
- Learn and apply Building Information Modeling (BIM) protocols
- Contribute to control network design documentation
- Travel to client sites to collect field data
- Assist in preparing project proposals and estimates
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate project details
- Collaborate with engineers and drafters to contribute to a wide range of industrial projects
- Design and develop electrical control systems
- Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
- Select appropriate components and materials for control systems
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure that designs meet technical and functional specifications
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and implementation process
