The Engineering Manager is responsible for leadership within the MPG-Brentwood Engineering organization, leading teams with expertise in microelectronic RF design & test, mechanical, PWB layout, and process engineering.
Requirements
- Lead teams with expertise in RF design & test, mechanical, PWB layout, and process engineering
- Develop high-performing teams focused on achieving segment performance objectives
- Develop and manage key metrics and KPIs relevant to business and operational excellence
- Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity and schedule attainment
- Create a culture of accountability and ownership of design, development, and production support
- Develop and maintain processes to prevent and/or address design issues or production delays
- Work closely with program management to ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaborate with other departments to identify risks and close operational gaps
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve the department’s performance
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address quality concerns
- Develop good working relationships with stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure effective communication of accurate, relevant, and timely information
- Coordinate resources between projects and proposals, working with program management and site leadership to determine priorities
- Manage resource capacity planning to ensure effective support of all projects
- Maintain department’s adherence to industry standards (e.g. ISO9001, MIL-PRF-38534, etc.)
- Manage department budget responsibly, including capital requests & justifications
- Manage group software licensing, including upgrades and proposals for new tools
- Prepare, submit, and present periodic reports at multiple levels withing the organization, including executive leadership
