The Engineering Manager role oversees all engineering activities and a staff of engineers, ensuring timely launches of new products, qualification of component modifications, and technical support of products to successfully source, build, and deliver products to customers.
Requirements
- Manages staff of engineers
- Leads engineering staff by providing direction and performance reviews
- Ensures personnel are properly trained and qualified to support the organization requirements
- Interfaces with Product Management, Testing, Drafting, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Control, Tool Room, and Suppliers
- Ensures new product development projects are successfully completed on time
- Ensures product design problems are addressed to ensure good product quality for our customers
- Makes presentations to R&D Staff, internal personnel, vendor personnel, and external distributor and customer personnel
- Travels to trade shows and conferences to represent the company and assist Sales & Marketing
- Ensures subordinates comply with the Company's policies and procedures
- Ensures product compliance with external standards and certifications
