Job Description
The Security Department at Down East Community & Calais Community Hospital is seeking a Security Officer - PRN to provide a safe and secure environment for all persons needing medical attention. The Security Officer must be able to communicate well, handle difficult patients and visitors, and be flexible to work as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate, trade school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to routinely use maintenance products and solutions
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal
- Adapts well to sudden changes
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Communicates non-routine items/issues to the Security Supervisor
- Conduct routine rounds of the building
- Assist in monitoring patients as needed
- Maintains courteous and respectful manner with other departments
- Always displays a positive and professional attitude
- Must be willing to cover shifts at other job sites when necessary
