Job Description
This Technical Advisor position focuses on providing technical oversight to vessel crews, overseeing engineering systems, DP, and critical equipment. The role involves fault diagnosis, maintenance interventions, documentation, and promoting a safe working culture. Mentorship and training of the vessel team is also key.
Requirements
- Marine Engineering Certificate of Competency (ChEng Unlimited)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the offshore marine sector
- Strong understanding of OSV operations, maintenance planning, and DP systems
- Proven record of troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Experience with PMS systems (e.g., NSE)
- Familiar with FMEA, DP trials, and Class/statutory compliance frameworks
- Fluency in English/Russian
- Strong communication and leadership skills
