Job Description
E-J is seeking a motivated and skilled Controller responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the financial operations across E-J Electric Installation Co’s 9 divisions, including general ledger maintenance, operational reporting, regulatory compliance, as well as the management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in construction accounting, or construction accounting operations with significant systems responsibility.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
- Experience with system implementations or major upgrades.
- Hands-on experience with accounting and payroll systems (ERP or mid-market platforms).
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting or BI tools a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
