Legal Counsel

NeighborHealth's Legal Department oversees all aspects of the legal and regulatory needs of the organization. Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will serve as counsel to the health center and will advise colleagues in a variety of areas, including health care compliance, general health care law, real estate transactions, corporate law, employment law, and immigration law.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
• At least 3-5 years' experience practicing law
• Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts
• Experience in healthcare law, independent contract review, and contract management, and some experience in general corporate matters
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse teams
• Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
