Empowering individuals and strengthening communities by providing peer support and advocating for mental health and substance use recovery.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist
- Personal lived experience and recovery story related to mental illness or substance use
- Minimum two years of experience working with adults with mental health needs and/or substance use needs
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current vehicle insurance for community travel
- Ability to work in various community settings and participate in rotational crisis call services
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to support individuals in recovery
