Electra is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to contribute to the design and development of advanced process technology for its pilot and industrial-scale operations. The successful candidate will have experience with 3D modeling software, CAD, and PDM, as well as a strong background in designing industrial systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years mechanical design experience OR Associate's degree in CADD and 10+ years experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with 3D equipment layouts, general arrangement drawings, pipe/tube/duct routing systems from plant processing environments
- Minimum 3 years of experience related to plant process designs and with process and instrumentation diagrams, mining or oil & gas processing experience a plus
- Advanced SolidWorks CAD proficiency and strong understanding of quality principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, AWS standards and ASME 14.5 standards
- Advanced SolidWorks PDM and Vault proficiency
- Experience integrating automation hardware, control systems, and robotics into industrial mechanical designs
- Experience designing with materials suited for aggressive media, corrosive liquids, or other challenging industrial environments
