We are designing the grid of the future! The Distribution Planning and DER Integration Manager will develop, grow and provide overall leadership and management for EPE’s Distribution and Grid Modernization department. The Manager will lead a group of 4-5 engineers in the execution of utility engineering studies and analysis, and will help our utility clients solve some of the most complex problems the industry faces.
Lead, oversee and manage engineering studies for electric distribution systems, including Generation Interconnection Studies, Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Integration, Load and Generation Forecasting, Reliability Studies, Distribution Automation Studies, Volt-Var Optimization, and provide input into strategic planning.
This role requires 5+ years of experience as a power system engineer or manager, a Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis, and strong technical skills and understanding. The Manager will also cultivate, manage, develop and maintain relationships with customers and clients ranging from electric cooperatives, municipalities and utilities to generation developers and public utility commissions.
