The Pharmacy Account Director is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external clients and prospects, and reaching internal health plan penetration goals through the use of strong consultative skills. The role involves managing and growing strategic employer relationships, translating complex PBM strategies into business value, and supporting cost management and trend improvement.
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in pharmacy benefit management (PBM), especially in account management or sales is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the broader employee benefits landscape (health plans, brokers, consultants, or specialty pharmacy) is preferred.
- Strong client-facing and strategic account management skills are highly preferred.
- Experience with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce is preferred.
- Ability to navigate complex internal and external relationship effectively are highly preferred.
- General data analysis and digital fluency skills are highly preferred.
- Ability to influence and collaborate in a highly matrixed environment is highly preferred.
- A Pharmacy License or equivalent service in specialty Rx arena is strongly preferred.
