As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of transformers and their components, providing technical leadership on complex projects and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• More than 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on transformer design or related products
• Membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ)
• Advanced proficiency in design and analysis tools, including mechanical and thermal design software
• Ability to interact with an ERP system, maintain, and update engineering process data
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, CSA) and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOE) related to transformers and associated components
• Bilingualism in French and English, both verbally and in writing
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to independently address complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities
