Evergreen Goodwill is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Finance & Accounting team. The role will assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to help the organization make informed financial decisions. The Financial Analyst will work closely with departments across the organization to monitor financial performance, prepare departmental and program reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Requirements
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare and analyze departmental and program financial reports, identifying variances, trends, and areas for improvement to support leadership decision-making.
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, working with departments and program managers to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Support the Mission Advancement team by ensuring financial compliance with grant requirements and preparing financial statements on programs.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current programs and operational expenditures.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support financial planning, program evaluation, and organizational decision-making.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in D365 system, including financial reporting, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain and review general ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accurate coding, reconciliations, and integrity of financial data.
- Monitor and track work-in-progress (WIP) projects and capital expenditures, coordinating with the Procurement team to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Procurement teams to support financial operations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records
