Job description
The role involves leading design investigations, formulating technical solutions, and mentoring the engineering team. The Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for ensuring design standards and requirements are met and will operate as a design authorisation signatory.
Develop and implement technical solutions, identify and resolve technical problems, and create and check/approve design definitions. The role also involves mentoring engineers, supporting training initiatives, and participating in technical reviews.
The ideal candidate will have experience with design approval from the aerospace industry, held design check approval, and possess leadership and mentoring skills. Good communication skills and experience working with stakeholders are also essential.
