We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The role will support the accounting needs of LIHTC properties, development companies, and nonprofit providers, focusing on LIHTC accounting, multi-entity financial management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) accounting and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Yardi Breeze.
Requirements
- Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple entities, including LIHTC properties, nonprofit operations, and development activities.
- Manage accounts payable process (paper checks only) on a bi-monthly schedule, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of property and organizational budgets.
- Work closely with property managers and executive leadership to ensure accurate cost allocations and financial reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with LIHTC program requirements and funding agency regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Yardi Breeze to manage financial records, track transactions, and generate reports.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
