Care Assistant

Care Assistant role supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health disorders within their own homes and accessing the local community.

Requirements

• Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
• Enhancements of time and a third for unsocial hours
• Sleepovers are paid at the SGLW currently £13.64 per hour
• 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years

• Supporting Statement must be provided
• Must have, or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration
• Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland
• Membership of the relevant PVG scheme
