Sr. Patient Financial Advocate

The Sr. Patient Financial Advocate will successfully resolve account balances for medical services provided by multiple healthcare facilities to patients by contacting patients by telephone and screening them to determine if they are eligible for state, county, and federal assistance programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous customer service/call center experience is preferred
• 1-3 years experience with medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government, or other pertinent medical experience) is preferred
• Proficient PC knowledge and the ability to type 30-40 wpm is required
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with coworkers, patients, and outside agencies is required
• Ability to present oneself in a courteous and professional manner at all times is required
• Ability to stay on task with little or no management supervision is required
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity in fulfilling job responsibilities is required
• Excellent organization skills is required
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment is required
• Reliability of task completion and follow-up is required
