Job Description
We're looking to add a Surface Mount Technology Process Engineer or a SMT Process Engineer to our team in Austin, TX. The Process Engineering Manager or the SMT Process Engineer is responsible for establishing technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (ME/EE/MfgE/IE or related)
- 7+ years of PCBA process engineering experience; strong SMT and soldering expertise
- Experience driving yield/quality improvements and leading root cause investigations
- Familiarity with Lean/CI, PFMEA, SPC, and DOE
- Advanced PCBA technology experience (fine pitch, micro components)
- NPI leadership experience in high mix or high volume environments
- CI certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)
- Experience with MES or digital manufacturing tools
