Job description
The Commodity Sourcing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end strategic sourcing and supply management of assigned direct material commodity categories that support continuous manufacturing operations. This role develops and executes commodity strategies, leads competitive bidding events, negotiates commercial agreements, and manages supplier relationships to ensure security of supply, optimal total cost of ownership, and alignment with quality and sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities include developing commodity strategies, monitoring market trends, leading RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, evaluating supplier capabilities, negotiating pricing and contractual obligations, managing supplier relationships, and achieving annual cost reduction targets.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within a manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated track record of developing and executing commodity strategies across direct material categories.
