The Surgical Technologist 3 prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures, follows hospital regulations, and tends to patients during pre-operation procedures.

Requirements

• Preparation and maintenance of medical equipment
• Following hospital regulations and industry procedures
• Tending to patients during pre-operation procedures
• Transporting patients to and from the operating room
• Working under general supervision
• Maintaining a sterile field at all times
• Providing assistance to the circulating RN with procedure/patient preparation
• Demonstrating expert knowledge of surgical equipment and advances surgical instrumentation
• Acting as a mentor and role model for new team members
• Serving as a preceptor for new and existing staff
