Job Description
The Fund for Public Health in New York City is seeking a Community Ambassador to support overdose-prevention outreach through an 11-week pilot initiative. The Community Ambassador will serve as a trusted messenger, increasing awareness of naloxone and related public health campaigns in high-priority neighborhoods with elevated overdose risk.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in community outreach, public health, harm reduction, peer education, or social services
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer proficiency including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field-based environments
