Firefighter Intern (Part Time)

As an intern firefighter, the intern will assist in emergency medical care and fire responses, conduct and administer first aid, observe and assist in pre-fire and fire prevention inspections, and participate in drills and training activities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Fire Science classes or recently completed a fire academy.
• Must have basic knowledge of Firefighting, theories and concepts in the field and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
• Current EMT and CPR certificate.
• Must have current CPAT or BIDDLE.
• Must have the ability to provide solutions to routine technical problems.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written applications, which successfully supports other firefighters, employees and management.
